The fraters welcomed Wash U's newest sorority, AOII, over to the house for a fun evening of BBQ and Capture the Flag. We had a great time meeting all the girls and look forward to working with them in the future!
Relay for Life (3-22-09)
TKE made a strong presence this year at Relay for Life, contributing 145 hours and raising over $900! Great work everyone!
Thurtene Carnival 2009 construction begins (3-20-09)
Xi Chapter has begun construction on its booth for the 2009 Thurtene Carnival. The event, to be held on April 18 and 19, is the oldest and largest student-run carnival in the United States. Each year, over 50 student groups come together to provide amusement rides, student performances, and a place for families to enjoy a great weekend while raising money for charity. This year, the "TKE Tailgate" football-theme booth will feature delicious barbeque and fun games for all ages. The chapter will donate all proceeds to Kids Place, a local afterschool program for at-risk youth. Feel free to contact us for more details!
Fraters dominate Man-Date Championship on local TV (3-19-09)
In promotion of the upcoming film I Love You, Man, St. Louis' Channel 2 Fox affiliate aired a live "Man-Date Championship" that pitted fraters Jeremy Fancher and Jason Novack against another team of bros in an Air Guitar battle, a corndog eating competition, and a newlywed-style trivia game. Using their superior man skills and knowedge as Fraters in the Bond, they took first prize and won some great promotional prizes, including VIP tickets to a premier advance screening of the film!
Congratulations to our Fraters! Jeremy and Jason joined Xi Chapter together in the Spring of 2006 and have continued to build on their brotastic relationship since then. Part of the live segment can be viewed on the Fox 2 website at:
TKE wins 2009 greek awards (2-22-09)
TKE won two awards tonight at the 2009 Order of Omega awards ceremony, the Maurice Chambers Community Service Award, and the Fraternal Excellence Silver Award. Both awards are now proudly displayed in the TKE library.
